A

Alpha

In a pack there is usually a strong hierarchy. Leader of the pack is the Alpha.
B

Baptism

see Pup baptism

Basket

The sleeping place of the dog – a soft bed to dream of playing with other dogs and the squirrel hunt...

BDSM

BDSM stands for Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission, Sadism & Masochism and is a collective term for various sexual preferences. BDSM can be part of Human Pup Play, but it is not necessarily – like sex in general, BDSM is a matter of agreement between partners.

Bestiality

Bestiality is sex with (real) animals. Human Pup Play has nothing to do with it!

Beta

In a pack there is usually a strong hierarchy . The Beta is the number two in the pack and therefore subordinated only to the Alpha.

Biopup

A biopup is a real biological dog.

Biped

A biped is a being with only two legs, usually a human.

Bowl

If you play a lot, you have to drink a lot – pups and dogs often do this from a bowl. Unfortunately, when wearing a hood, bowls often can't be used at all, or only in combination with a straw.

Brokkoli

Dogs usually do not like broccoli. However, people keep trying to offer them broccoli instead of cookies or other treats to tease them.

Butt plug

A butt plug is an elongated sex toy (usually made of latex), which is inserted anally and can remain there safely because of its shape. In addition to the desire increase it also can be used for attaching a tail.
C

Collar

A collar for many is the most important accessory. Not only the leash can be attached to it, it also symbolizes the role that the dog takes. Because of the risk of injury Electro Shock Collars must not be used on Human Pup Play!

Cookies

Cookies are the most popular treats for pups and dogs and practically indispensable in the game.
D

Dog

A dog immerses itself in the headspace as well as a pup does and gets into the role of the animal. A dog is more adult than a pup, listens better to the handler's or trainer's commands, and already knows a few tricks and stunts.

Dog tag

The dog tag with the name of the dog is attached to the collar . By attaching the tag, the connection between dog and owner can be clarified. Often this happens as part of a formal pup baptism . For many dogs this is a very important event in life.

H

Handler

Anyone supervising a pup/dog can be a handler. He or she holds the leash, plays with the dog and takes care of it

Harness

A harness consists of straps, usually made of leather or latex, and is worn around the shoulders and chest and e.g. one can also attach a leash on it. Some harnesses are also extended downwards and then end in hip straps and cock ring.

Headspace

The headspace is the mental state of a pup/dog while playing. Dogs live the moment. They do not think about the future or the past, but act according to their instincts.

Hierarchy

As in a real pack, there usually exists a strong hierarchy. Leader of the pack is the Alpha . Beta for the number two in the pack and Omega for the last one are additional popular terms, which can be further divided.

Hood

Hoods are available in different versions with different properties. They are mostly made of neoprene or leather. Some are partly open so that the face and facial expressions are more recognizable. Others are completely closed and look very realistic.

Human Pupplay

Human Pup Play is a role playing game in which a person plays the role of a pup or a dog . You can play it alone, along with other pups/dogs, with a handler , trainer , master , or one of many other possible roles.

It does not necessarily have a sexual background. For many (but not all) players it is just a pleasant and relaxed way to leave everyday life behind and play with others freely.

Knee pads have a very practical use because they protect the knees from injury during play.
L

M

Mask

see Hood

Master

The master is the dominant role in BDSM.

Mistress

see Handler

Muzzle

The muzzle prevents the dog from biting other dogs or humans. He is also a symbol of submission to the master at BDSM.
N

Name

The name of the pup/dog is often given as part of a formal pup baptism and is usually different from the Pup Player's . Therefore, you should address a dog during the game with his puppy name and not with the human name, so as not to tear him from his role. The name of the dog can usually be read on a dog tag, which is attached to the collar.
O

Omega

In a pack there usually exists a strong hierarchy. The Omega is the last one in the pack and therefore subordinated to all other pack members.

Owner

The owner possesses a pup or dog. Handler, trainer, and owner can be the same person. Unlike the first two, however, the role of the owner is tied to a certain person and does not change from game to game.
P

Pack

Several dogs can form a pack. This can only refer to the current game or persist permanently, comparable to a circle of friends.

Paws

Paws prevent a dog from using his hands like a human. At the same time they protect the hands during play.

Pup

A pup is a young dog and your faithful companion to play, cuddle, and love. It is livelier and more boisterous than an adult dog and usually listens less to the handler's or trainer's commands.

Pup baptism

At the pup baptism, the Pup or Dog gets its name. This is usually done through a blessing granted by a sister of " Orden der Schwestern der perpetuellen Indulgenz (OSPI) " and the attachment of the dog tag with the name of the pup/dog on the collar or harness.

Slave

The slave is the submissive role in BDSM.

Stray

A stray is a pup or a dog without an owner. A stray is not necessarily looking for a handler, trainer, or owner, but may join them for a while.
T

Tail

Tails are very good for identifying yourself as a dog. You can wag and express your feelings with them. They come in a variety of materials and sizes and can be worn in the form of a butt plug or attached to clothing, such as a belt.

Trainer

Trainers educate pups/dogs and teach them tricks and stunts. Handler, trainer, and owner can be the same person or several persons.

Toy

Every dog needs toys for chewing and hunting. These can be balls, squeaky or rubber animals, ropes, and much more. The toy should possibly be soft, as human teeth can be damaged by hard toys. Therefore, never use bones or other hard utensils!

Training

Training is the education of the pup/dog by the trainer, who also teaches it tricks and stunts.

Treat

Trainers and handlers use treats for education and to reward a dog for proper behavior. Cookies, fruit gums, pieces of fruit, chocolate and mini salamis are very suitable for this. Caution: Some dogs do not think about their own allergies, so before feeding it's absolutely necessary to ask the owner or handler!
